Skyrail & Tjapukai History
After ballooning we then took our trusty transportation bus to the Freshwater Station for the
Kuranda Scenic Railway journey up the scenic Barron Gorge to Kuranda. We arrived at the
Kuranda village. We toured some shops, restaurants as well as a feeding area for kangaroos
and wallabies. We then board Skyrail for the journey on top of the rainforest, through
world heritage rainforest stop off at any of the stations en-route for a more informative look.
At the end of the Sky-rail we arrived at Caravonica lakes and proceed to Tjapukai Cultural
Theatre for a walk through the path of time, enjoy creation theatre, Aboriginal
dancers and we toured a Aborigine cultural show and participated in real time spear
and boomerang throwing.
